Funeral Services for Jeffery Heard will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, the 9th of May 2012 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches with Father John O\'Brien to serve as celebrant. Burial will follow in Memory Lawn Cemetery. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, the 8th of May 2012 at Blanchard-St. Denis in Natchitoches. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 p.m.
Jeffery, age 41 of Natchitoches, passed away on Sunday, the 6th of May 2012. He was born on the 23rd of December 1970 to Kenneth and Penny Heard in Natchitoches. He was the owner of the Jeff Heard Complete Lawn Care. He was a loving father and son and friend to all.
He is survived by his children, Austin and Grant Heard of Sulphur and Ethan Heard of Natchitoches; his parents, Kenneth Ray Heard, Sr. and Penny Louise Heard of Natchitoches; his brother, Kenneth Ray Heard, Jr. and wife Leslie of Natchitoches his maternal grandmother, Selma Shivers; special friend, B. A. Cohen; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Earl Shivers; and his paternal grandparents, Ollie and Alice Heard.
In lieu of floral contributions, the family request that donations in Jeffery\'s name be made to the Holy Cross Catholic Church on 2nd Street in Natchitoches.

|12||Funeral service for Douglas W. Page, Sr. will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel. Rev. Jimmy McDonald will officiate the service. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery at Flora, La. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Page, 65, of Natchitoches, La., died Saturday, February 7, 2009, in Houston, Texas He was a native of Flora, La. He was a retired purchasing agent for the city of Natchitoches, La. and retired agent for Union National Life Insurance Company, and most recently was employed by Wal-Mart in Natchitoches. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Wilson Page; sister, Gervis Ebert. He is survived by two sons, Douglas W. Page, Jr. of Bossier City, La. and Tracy Page of Natchitoches, La.; mother, Melba Brister of Natchitoches, La.; nephew; Daniel Wesley Ebert of Marthaville, La.|
Pallbearers will be Pete Leone, Al Huthnance, Wayne Banes, John Gilcrease, John Michael Gilcrease and David Hamous. Honorary Pallbearers will be Raymond Litton, Mike Richardson, and Chuck Young.

Universal Citation: LA Civ Code 198
Art. 198. Father's action to establish paternity; time period
A man may institute an action to establish his paternity of a child at any time except as provided in this Article. The action is strictly personal.
If the child is presumed to be the child of another man, the action shall be instituted within one year from the day of the birth of the child. Nevertheless, if the mother in bad faith deceived the father of the child regarding his paternity, the action shall be instituted within one year from the day the father knew or should have known of his paternity, or within ten years from the day of the birth of the child, whichever first occurs.
In all cases, the action shall be instituted no later than one year from the day of the death of the child.
The time periods in this Article are peremptive.
